2013 Growing Season
The 2013 vintage offered a long growing season with moderate temperatures. The summer was dry with warm days and cool nights. Ideal ripening conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. Harvest for our Cabernet officially started the first week of October and after a long superb growing season we had another stellar vintage in the winery.
Calistoga is one of the warmest regions in the Napa Valley and ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. Our Cabernet comes from Barlow vineyards, which is located just south of Calistoga. Aromatically the wine offers ripe black cherry with hints of sweet vanilla. The palate is soft and luscious with flavors of dark plum and blackberry, finishing with soft supple tannins. Our 2013 vintage is perhapss the best wine we have made to date!
